It is also the highest point in Malaysia accessible by road, with the road covering until Gunung Brinchang at 2031 meters above sea level. During the day, the temperature seldom rises above 25 degrees celcius, while at night it can drop to as low as 12 degrees celcius.

Most Singaporeans go to Kuala Lumpur for business and leisure. Many to see family and relatives. Kuala Lumpur is actually easily accessible from Singapore, and is roughly a 5 - 6 hour drive from Singapore.

Flights from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur are usually expensive and start at least around SGD150 upwards per person. While paying this amount of money makes sense for a traveling couple, it might not make sense if you are planning to travel with a huge group. Time to consider an alternative method?

Traveling to Genting Highlands

Experienced Team, Polite Drivers. Let us get you there!

Before the entry of Resorts World Sentosa Casino & Marina Bay Sands Casino, Singaporeans used to flock to Genting Highlands Casino. Located just roughly within an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, it is nestled above the mountains bordering Pahang. From Johor Bahru (JB) it is roughly a 4 hour journey by road.

Chilly weather of usually around 16 degrees celcius, and access to 24 hour entertainment and casino, it still has its appeal even these days. Considering the point that Singaporeans and Permanent Residents have to pay SGD100.00 levy each time they enter the casino in Singapore, some actually do not mind traveling to Genting Highlands.

If you ever find yourself wanting to try your luck, or enjoy the cool breeze in Genting Highlands, do let us know!

Airport Transfer to Senai Airport

By Amresh | Uncategorized

NEED A RIDE?

Experienced Team, Polite Drivers. Let us get you there!

The Singapore Changi Airport is one of the best airports in the world. However, it is unfortunate that there are no flight service to many locations in Malaysia.  Such locations include flying to Kota Bharu Kelantan, Alor Star Kedah, and even numerous islands along Peninsular Malaysia.

There are also many flight bargain hunters of late, using skyscanner or flight price comparison services to arrange cheap flights to their favorite destinations. It is not unusual to find cheaper flights to Seoul, Korea from KLIA. However, it might make more sense to fly from Senai Airport to KLIA as it is a domestic flight. Budget carriers such as AirAsia offer very good rates all in all if one were to consider such an option.

Average journey from Singapore to Senai may take 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic & immigration checkpoint conditions.

Source: klhunter.com

Theoretically, to go to Senai Airport is actually not difficult. From central Singapore it will perhaps only be around 40 kilometers. However, because one will have to go through the customs and immigration, it would take a longer time. One comfortable option tourists can consider is to take a hired private car to Senai, directly from Singapore.

Not only will they travel more comfortably, they would not have to queue up for the bus from Singapore to go to Johor Bahru. They also have room to carry big baggage. However here are the honest facts if you do travel by bus, and then taxi in Johor Bahru.

Consider the following:

MRT Anywhere in SG to Kranji MRT  (4 Pax) - Average SGD2.00 x 4
Kranji MRT Bus to Johor Bahru checkpoint (4 Pax) - Average SGD2.00 x 4
Johor Bahru checkpoint to Senai Airport - Average SGD40.00
It will cost an average of SGD56.00

Source: pointswithacrew.com

Downside: Uncomfortable ride, Standing mostly, longer lines immigration checkpoint, Untimely bus arrivals & unreliable taxi operators in Johor Bahru.

SO, WHY MAXICAB GURU?
If you are carrying kids, huge luggage bags or want to travel more comfortably and arrive timely for your flight, do consider MaxiCab Guru! We guarantee you will not miss your flight in Senai Airport!
